Lakelytics is low-maintenance: wipe the sensor when the app reminds you (every 6–12 months), give the station and gateway a quick visual check every few months, and keep the solar panels clear of leaves and bird mess. The system flags any station that stops reporting, so problems are never silent.
Most of the “maintenance” is done for you — the system watches itself and alerts you if a station goes quiet. Here’s the light routine that keeps everything reliable.
Every few months (a 5-minute check)
- Wipe the solar panels on the station (and gateway, if solar) to clear leaves, dust and bird mess — a dirty panel charges slowly.
- Glance at the station for anything fouling the float, and clear weed or line caught around it.
- Check the app shows the station online and reading sensibly.
When the app reminds you (6–12 months)
- Wipe down the sensor to clear fouling — see how to clean the sensor — and log it to reset the reminder.
Seasonally
- Before summer: confirm alerts and thresholds are set for the season ahead, and test that your aerator switches on.
- Autumn/winter: clear leaves off panels more often, as low sun and short days mean less charging.
What you don’t have to do
- No electrolytes, membranes or reagents to replace.
- No calibration on a schedule — the optical sensor is stable; we advise if a check is ever needed.
- No manual data downloads — everything is stored for you in the portal.
