Alerts & app
I'm not getting low-oxygen alerts
Updated 8 August 2026
If alerts aren't arriving, check that your alert threshold is set, that your phone number and email are correct on your account, that app notifications are allowed on your phone, and that you (or the right team members) are on the alert list. Send yourself a test alert from the app to confirm. If oxygen simply hasn't crossed your threshold, no alert is expected.
Alerts are the whole point, so it’s worth making sure they’ll always reach you. Work through these checks.
1. Is a threshold actually set?
Open the app and confirm an alert threshold is configured for the lake (for example, warn below 5 mg/L). No threshold means no alert. See setting alert thresholds.
2. Are your contact details right?
Check the phone number and email on your account are correct and current. Alerts can go by push notification, SMS and email — make sure at least one route is set up for you.
3. Are phone notifications allowed?
- On the phone, check the Lakelytics app has notification permission enabled in your phone’s settings.
- Make sure the app isn’t muted, and that a Do Not Disturb / focus mode isn’t silencing it overnight — the very time oxygen alerts matter most. Consider allowing Lakelytics as an exception.
4. Are you on the alert list?
On club and syndicate waters, alerts go to the people added to the lake. Confirm you (and anyone who should respond) are on that list. Add bailiffs and committee members so a warning always reaches someone who can act.
5. Send a test
Use the app’s test alert to confirm the whole chain works end to end. If the test arrives but real ones don’t, the threshold may simply not have been crossed yet — that’s good news, not a fault.
Still not receiving them after a test? Contact support and we’ll check the alert delivery from our side.
